On November 25:

1924 — Jacqueline Jarrett Goodnow was born. Goodnow has been a pioneer in the study of cognitive development. Her studies of strategies of thinking and concept formation, cultural influences on thinking, perceptual activity, children's drawings, and social policy have combined progress in cognitive psychology with a focus on children.

1957 — The APA assumed publication of the Journal of Educational Psychology. William Clark Trow, James B. Stroud, and Stephen M. Corey continued as editors under APA ownership. The journal was first published by Warwick and York in 1910 under the editorship of W. C. Bagley, J. Carleton Bell, Carl E. Seashore, and Guy Montrose Whipple.
